We are introducing an internal audit at the regional level 9 August 2010

Recently, on 2nd August 2010, the basic training on internal audit for managers and personnel of regional CRO (Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, Luhansk, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv and Chernihiv region) completed its work in the Control and Revision Office in Dnipropetrovsk region and 30 persons were present there. On 3rd August training for managers and experts of control and revision units of the territorial bodies of CEA (central executive authorities), which function in the Dnipropetrovsk region completed its work as well. 24 experts from 11 units of internal control along of representatives of the Department of Labour and Social Protection of Population of Dnipropetrovsk RSA participated in it.

It was the first stage of the Program of the Project of international cooperation on the Polish-Ukrainian Cooperation Foundation PAUCI assistance to the MainCRO in introduction of internal audit at the regional level, according to the Concept of Development of Public Internal Financial Control until 2017, approved by the Governmental Executive Order No. 158 -r (with amendments) of 24 May 2005.

The main content of training seminar consisted in assistance to local authorities in Ukraine in establishing of a system of internal audit. Training was opened by Deputy Head of Public Internal Financial Control Harmonization Department, Head of Division of the MainCRO of Ukraine – Tetyana Borovkova. She told about the history of development of the Concept of public internal financial control and ways of introduction of internal audit in Ukraine.

Deputy Director of Department of Audit of Public Financial Sector of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Poland Agnieshka Hyebel held the second part of the seminar. In particular, she presented elements of a system of internal control and audit in the public sector of Poland within the framework of COSO model.
