Georgia and Ukraine agreed to cooperate in reforming of the PIFC 25 August 2010

On 20th August the meeting of experts of the MainCRO with colleagues from the National Center of State Internal Financial Control of Georgia took place. During the meeting the current state of reformation of PIFC system in both countries and ways of future cooperation in this field were discussed.

Chairman of the National Center of State Internal Financial Control of Georgia - Levan Kuradze, Deputy Chairman of the Centre - Tatia Eliadze and Head of Division of Financial Management and Monitoring Control of Center - Ana Sabaktaryshvili represented the Georgian Party, Head of PIFC Harmonization Department Maksim Tymokhin, Deputy Head – Tetyana Borovkova, specialist of this Department – Anna Krivchenkova and a representative of the Division of the International Cooperation of Department of Organizational Operations Anna Ashyrova participated in this event from the MainCRO.

In the course of the meeting, Levan Kuradze and Maksim Tymokhin presented achievements in the sphere of development and harmonization of internal control and internal audit in countries. Parties discussed a range of organizational and practical matters of the introduction of the European model of PIFC.

Summing up Ukrainian and Georgian colleagues outlined ways of the future cooperation and agreed to sign Memorandum of Understanding between Ukraine and Georgia in this sphere.
